Course Description
The Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) course is designed for healthcare providers who initiate and direct advanced life support beyond basic life support through the stabilization or transport phases of a pediatric emergency, either in or out of the hospital setting. In this course the student will enhance their skills in the evaluation and management of an infant or child with respiratory compromise, circulatory compromise, or cardiac arrest.
Course Length
8 hour class.
Course Prerequisite
Providers taking this course should be proficient with
1. Performing CPR skills on children and infants using the 2020 AHA CPR guidelines
2. Reading and interpreting basic ECG rhythm strips
3. Knowledge of basic PALS pharmacology
4. Concepts of respiratory and circulatory emergencies
Course Accreditation
This course is a nationally recognized training and evaluation program in pediatric advanced life support. 8 hours of continuing education credits by the State Board of Nursing (Provider # 50-10665) will be issued to the following licensed professionals: RN’s, LPN’s, and RRT’s. License number must be provided by the student during the registration process in order to receive this credit.
Registration
Registration occurs upon receipt of payment. Course is limited to first 12 registrants at the CPR4U location and the first 18 registrants at some hospital locations. Confirmed registrants will receive a receipt via e-mail. Please keep this receipt for your records. Scheduling and dates are subject to change.

Additional Fees
Manual: $65.00 (Optional, however strongly recommended); Purchased manuals are non-refundable. Please bring your manual to class. Only manuals dated from 2020 or later are valid.
Cancellation /Refunds
Cancellation Policy: Cancellation/refunds or rescheduling a class will be issued only if written requests are received up to 72 hours prior to the scheduled class. NO refund will be issued to cancellations less than 72 hours prior to class. Reschedules may be granted within 72 hours of a class; however a $10 rescheduling fee will be assessed. Only 2 rescheduled classes allowed. Rescheduled classes are non-refundable. NO refund or rescheduling for no shows. Students arriving more than 10 minutes late of class start time will be considered no shows.
