Course Description

This course is designed to teach the skills of CPR for victims of all ages, the use of an AED, the use of a Bag Valve Mask, and is official AHA certification for medical professionals who are required to be certified as a condition of employment. This includes nurses, doctors, EMTs, hospital workers, employees of doctors and dentist’s offices, and nursing home staff or anyone who deals with direct patient care.

Course Prerequisite

Wear loose comfortable clothing to class. Students will be practicing skills that require them to work on their hands and knees.

Course Length

This course is full four hour course. Students arriving more than 10 minutes after the course has begun will not be permitted to take the course.

Course Inclusions

This course includes the American Heart Association student manual which is given at the time of the course and a certification card which is valid for 2 years. Certification card will be given provided that the student passes the skills portion of the course and the written exam with a score of 84% or higher.

Registration

The course fee is $50.00. Space is limited to the first 12 registrants. Registration occurs upon receipt of payment. Confirmed registrants will receive a receipt via e-mail. Please keep receipt for your records. Scheduling and dates are subject to change.

Cancellations / Refunds

Cancellation Policy: Cancellation/refunds or rescheduling a class will be issued only if written requests are received up to 72 hours prior to the scheduled class. NO refund will be issued to cancellations less than 72 hours prior to class. Reschedules may be granted within 72 hours of a class; however a $10 rescheduling fee will be assessed. Only 2 rescheduled classes allowed. Rescheduled classes are non-refundable. NO refund or rescheduling for no shows. Students arriving more than 10 minutes late of class start time will be considered no shows.
